Professional Training and Rehearsal Space

General

The Momentum Pole & Aerial HQ at Morelands Trading Estate is a state of the art pole and aerial studio located in the heart of Gloucester with good transport links and ample free parking. The space is available to hire by pole/aerial arts and other movement professionals, performers and instructors for a variety of purposes including training, act creation, rehearsal, lesson planning and 1-2-1 private lessons.

Facilities

The space itself holds:

  • up to 2000 sq ft of total space for you to use
  • kitchen facilities and gender-neutral toilet
  • intercom, goods lift, but please note the space is on the first floor, using a set of industrial stairs
  • 500sq ft dance studio with marley floor
  • 1000 sq ft pole/aerial studio with soft matted martial arts flooring
  • floor to ceiling poles from 2.6 to 4.6 meters, and rigging points up to 4.6 meters on pulley systems
  • variety of aerial equipment from tabless, single and double point hoops, to silks, slings, Chinese Flying poles, straps, rope and a wide selection of hardware
  • well ventilated, clean, bright and airy with windows and natural light
  • infrared and fan heaters for colder months
  • PA system and bluetooth speakers, mirrors, LED mood lighting

Weekly Self Practice Slots

Open Training

You can come along to one of our timetabled open training slots. These are shared “open gym” style slots where Momentum members and external pole/aerial practitioners can train together. As the session is shared, you may share poles or rigging points and be limited with floor space, depending on how busy it is. These slots are £10 a pop drop in, or you can buy a class pass for 30 days of unlimited open training for £30. An instructor and first aider is on site.

Professional Open Space

These are 3-hour slots offered during the week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-3pm, exclusively for use by freelance coaches, performers and movement professionals to facilitate training, act creation, rehearsal, or lesson planning. You have exclusive use of the space, can come in any time during the three hours, and are solely responsible for your own health and safety. Valid insurance and training certificates will be required to book these slots.

To book professional open space, head to our booking system GoTeamUp. Once you have booked your space, you will be prompted to submit relevant documents.

Additional availability

Glos HQ at Morelands Trading Estate can be hired for the following times and days outside of “open gym” and professional open space. You’d be welcome to choose from these times if you wish to teach privates or your own group classes too:

  • Mondays 8-10am, 2-4pm
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 5.30pm
  • Fridays 8-9.30am, 12.30-4pm
  • Saturdays from 11am onwards
  • Sundays 12.30-5.30pm
